LP to CD transfer copy Service
I have the equipment which is necessary to copy LPs to compact disc. I do not use a computer
and I do not remaster or digitally remove clicks etc. If you have records already in good condition, which
you would like have transferred to CD I can do this for you. I use an Elite turntable which I hold to be
much better than a Lynn, a decent SME arm and a Shure VSTV cartridge - which produces a very smooth
yet dynamic sound. I use a Croft valve pre-amp. For the recording device I use a quality CD recorder which does
a fine job. Tracks are properly separated out just as on the LP. If you wish I can clean an LP before
recording - I use a VIP suction machine - but this costs an extra £3 per LP. Here are the prices.
1 LP recorded to CD - includes jewell case, CD and label - £13
1 10 inch LP recorded to CD - inc jewell case, CD and label - £11
Cleaning service - £3 per LP or 10" LP
For quantities of 5 or more LPs, I can negotiate a discount.
Postage and packing back is £3 for the first LP and then £1 per extra LP for the UK, if you live outside the
UK, please let me know which country and I will quote you.
Send LP(s) to my address with a cheque for the total payable to Stuart Tomanek. I take
responsibility for all LPs while they are in my possession.
Record Collections Bought
I am always looking for collections which have been well looked after. Unlike some dealers I do not cherry
pick and usually buy whole collections. However, I don't usually travel far to buy
LPs unless you live close and many people who sell to me bring their records to my house. If you are in a position
to bring your LPs please send me an email first. If your collection has been "picked" by another dealer I still
may be interested but be prepared to accept £20 per hundred LPs. I may not be interested at all if you bring me
LPs that look like car boot or charity shop fare. Please note that I pay nothing for
1970s and 1980s operatic box sets, choral music, organ and other unsaleable material.
Record Search Send me your wants lists and I will keep a look out for your desired LPs. Please indicate your best price for each item as I may have to buy from another dealer
and will not be able to get the LP for you if there is not a margin to cover my costs.
Records sold
Use the online shopping cart to buy my records. When you have selected what you want go to the checkout and pay. I accept Paypal - even if you don't have an account with paypal you can still
use this facility to pay by credit or debit card. It does not take long, just fill in name and address, card details and that is it. Payment is taken in GBP. You can also pay by cheque if you want. Make your cheque payable to
Stuart Tomanek and send with order to my address. Postal charges are kept reasonable and I do not make a profit from shipping. Shipment is by airmail in the case of overseas orders and 2nd class mail or parcel post in the UK.
